Adrian started his golfing life at the age of 14 at Kettering Golf Club. Soon after starting playing he discovered a huge passion for the game and decided that he wanted to pursue the game professionally. At the age of 18 after a successful amateur career he took the plunge and turned professional and at the age of 21 he qualified as a PGA Playing the game took a back seat as Adrian discovered that he had a talent for coaching people how to play the wonderful game and it didn’t take him long to build up an excellent reputation as somebody that could coach the game in a way that was easy to understand.
In 1992 Adrian decided it was time to try pastures new to gain more experience so he packed his bags and left to ply his trade in Germany, where he stayed for 8 years. He was Head Professional at 2 different clubs during this time and was instrumental in the development of junior golf and elite team players. Upon his return to England Adrian worked at Barnham Broom Hotel and Golf Club first of all as Head Professional and in his later as Director of Golf where he was in charge of running a very busy residential and non-residential golf school and the whole of the busy golfing operation.
